GUNSMITHING

We are proud to offer a range of gunsmithing services to our clients in Ramona and throughout San Diego County. Our services are affordable, and we will ensure that you will be informed of your options along the way. For current rates, send us an email, stop by during regular business hours or call (760) 789-4867 and ask for Gabriel. With an experienced gunsmith at the helm, we can assist with most common services including:

  • Basic and Deep Cleaning
  • Restoration
  • Cerakote
  • Diagnosis and Test Fire
  • Minor and Major Repairs
  • Scope Mounting
  • Boresighting
  • Sight Installation
  • and much more!

We now offer Cerakote!
Cerakote is a ceramic coating that can be applied to firearms for cosmetic improvements. Another benefit is that it can provide added protection to older firearms and those with more frequent use, such as concealed carry pistols or hunting rifles. Please visit our shop for information and samples of Cerakote projects our gunsmith has performed!

When bringing in a firearm for repair, please announce yourself at the door and only bring in your firearm if it is unloaded. If you are not comfortable bringing your firearm into the shop, or are unsure if it is loaded or not, we are more than happy to assist - leave your firearm in your vehicle and we will come out to you.

DOJ FIREARM SAFETY CERTIFICATE TEST SITE

Firearm safety certificates (FSC) are required in the state of California to purchase and own a firearm. To obtain an FSC, you will take a multiple-choice test to check your general firearm safety knowledge. Tests are performed in our shop and typically take around 15-20 minutes. Results are given right away, and cards can be issued at that time. (So long as the test is passed). Cards are valid for five years after issuance. Lamination is available on site.

A study guide can be found here. (English and Spanish guides are available.)

The state-regulated rate for the exam is $25. (As of Dec. 2021)
